Who Is TechGirlDAO?
Within the prestigious halls of NYU's School of Professional Services, a group of visionary students have united under the banner of the Metaverse Club. Founded by the remarkable Rebecca Blanc, the inaugural president of this groundbreaking initiative, the Metaverse Club represents an exciting forum for students and professionals to convene and construct a shared vision of the Web3 future.
Rebecca Blanc's journey in this space is nothing short of inspirational. As a Black woman pioneer, she recognized the latent potential of crypto and the metaverse on her campus and took the bold step of forming a public community. Her mission is to make the world of Web3 more inclusive, ensuring that marginalized voices, including Black, Brown, queer, and trans individuals, have a rightful place in this thriving domain.
In the next three to five years, she envisions a future where more people of color have a substantial stake in the crypto world and DAOs like TechGirlDAO continue to make a difference by providing financial access and scholarships to underrepresented communities.
