Pitch Us.

We curate a diverse array of content encompassing articles, essays, opinions, reviews, news features, and interviews within the realm of visual art. Our editorial scope extends beyond conventional boundaries, welcoming explorations of visual culture in unconventional or unforeseen contexts. When it comes to essays, we value your unique voice, subjectivity, and critical perspective.

We are currently accepting pitches from new contributors, however we cannot consider pitches that have been previously submitted elsewhere. We encourage you to acquaint yourself with our previous publications before submitting your proposal.

To ensure a comprehensive review, please read the provided guidelines in its entirety, as incomplete submissions will not be considered. While our Editorial team meticulously assesses all submissions, the sheer volume received prevents us from responding to each inquiry individually.

We appreciate conciseness in your submission.

Comprehend Our Audience: While technically classified as an art and technology publication, it's crucial to recognize that we aim to transcend the confines of an exclusively art-oriented readership. Your pitch should convey why the story possesses broader appeal, addressing the recurring question of "Why should we care?" frequently discussed in our editorial meetings. ARCHIV3 pieces inherently contain elements that resonate with individuals who may not identify as ardent art enthusiasts. Pitches reliant solely on artspeak are unlikely to align with our editorial preferences.

Narrate global stories: Embrace narratives from diverse corners of the world. Although ARCHIV3 calls NYC home, our contributors and readers span the globe. When pitching a local story, ensure it possesses a far-reaching perspective or takeaway to align with our editorial interests. We particularly value stories from major cities such as NYC, Miami, LA, and Tokyo.

Verify Originality: Confirm the uniqueness of your proposal by ensuring it hasn't been covered in a similar manner by us or other outlets.

Conciseness is Key: Craft a compelling headline and encapsulate your pitch within two paragraphs. Illuminate the intriguing aspects, elucidate the reasons for our collective interest, and seize the opportunity to convey your distinctive voice and writing style. Additionally, explain why ARCHIV3 is the ideal platform for your story.

Details Matter: If your pitch involves a show or film screening, include relevant dates and provide a link to additional information. While we welcome links, ensure that your narrative is comprehensible even without relying on them.

Personal Introduction: After pitching your story, offer a succinct introduction, outlining your identity, past experiences, and why you are the ideal person to author this story. For new contributors, provide links to a few examples of analogous articles you've previously published or attach relevant writing samples.

Conflict of Interest Disclosure: Inform us of any potential conflicts of interest, encompassing financial interests, work or personal relationships, and other connections. If your piece pertains to an exhibition or performance, specify whether you experienced it in person.

Unique Fit For ARCHIV3: The most compelling pitches should feel tailored for ARCHIV3, making it challenging to envision them being published elsewhere.

Exposure To Our Audience: While we are currently in the process of fundraising to financially compensate future writers, all contributions will be credited, providing exposure to our audience and readers.
