Clare Tattersall is Leading the Future of Fashion With Technology

In the landscape of modern fashion, where trends emerge and evolve in the blink of an eye, Clare Tattersall stands out as a new standard for innovation and forward-thinking. As the visionary founder of Digital Fashion Week NY, Clare has carved a unique path at the intersection of fashion, technology, and sustainability, reshaping the industry as we know it.

With over two decades of experience pushing the boundaries of fashion design and technology, Clare’s journey has been nothing short of remarkable. From her early ventures in virtual fashion to her groundbreaking work with smart garments, she has consistently demonstrated a knack for anticipating the next big thing and turning it into reality.

Before Digital Fashion Week captured the imagination of fashion enthusiasts worldwide, Clare co-created cutting-edge software aimed at streamlining the design-to-sales process, earning recognition as one of Columbia University Tech Ventures’ standout startups. Her passion for merging fashion with technology led her to consult with renowned designers and brands, guiding them towards creating innovative, sustainable, and consumer-centric solutions.

Clare’s forward-thinking approach extends beyond mere novelty; it’s about leveraging technology to drive meaningful change in the fashion industry. She emphasized the role of augmented reality (AR) in enhancing brand value, reducing waste, and fostering deeper engagement with consumers. “AR isn’t just about hype; it’s about redefining the fashion experience and creating lasting value for brands and consumers alike.” she asserted.

When asked about the inception of Digital Fashion Week, she reflected on her early experiences with digital fashion and the transformative potential it held. “I started my previous company in 2009, exploring virtual and robotic fashion.” she recalled. “During the pandemic, I saw an opportunity to take digital fashion to new heights with the first Digital Fashion Week in virtual galleries online.”

As the conversation turned towards emerging technologies like Web3 and NFTs, Clare’s enthusiasm was palpable. She spoke of partnerships with platforms like Sandbox, envisioning a future where independent designers thrive in a decentralized fashion ecosystem. “We’re disrupting traditional channels and opening up new revenue streams for designers.” she explained. “It’s about empowering creators and embracing the possibilities of digital fashion.”

Clare emphasized the importance of embracing digital tools and staying curious. “Fashion is about self-expression and creativity” she remarked. “Whether you’re a designer or a buyer, there’s something for everyone in the world of digital fashion. It’s all about exploring the possibilities.” Looking ahead, Clare’s vision for Digital Fashion Week knows no bounds. With plans to expand globally, she envisions a future where innovation and tradition coexist harmoniously.

“We’re heading to Paris, Milan, and beyond” she revealed. “It’s about bringing together the brightest minds in fashion and technology to shape the future of the industry.” In a world where change is constant and innovation is paramount, Clare Tattersall is an example of the power of forward thinking. Through Digital Fashion Week and her relentless pursuit of progress, she continues to inspire a new generation of designers, creators, and fashion enthusiasts to dream big and embrace the future of fashion.
